What is a Home inspection

 A home inspection is a visual examination of the home's major structure, systems and components that are visible and safely accessible.  A home inspection is intended to identify significant issues with a home and its systems and components. Although a home inspection is a thorough evaluation, there are limits to what can be discovered during a home inspection because of occupant's belongings,  recently performed repairs or upgrades, seasonal limitations, or areas that are not accessible. 

A typical home inspection will evaluate accessible areas of the roof and attic, exterior, foundation and structure, HVAC systems, visible plumbing and electrical components, doors and windows, and appliances.
